Download U.S. Economic Data
Choose a dataset or a single indicator. Files preserve reference periods, units, source codes and a frozen acquisition ID.
National economic indicators
41 indicator concepts and 39,835 default-series observations. Includes prices, labor, GDP, income, spending and selected daily rates; coverage varies by producer.
State economy histories
50 states and District of Columbia. Annual 2017–2025 GDP and income, annual 2017–2024 prices, and monthly 2017–August 2026 unemployment and payroll employment. JSON also retains broad-industry output.
State ranking tables
Each file contains the full default 50-state ranking, exact displayed precision, reference period, formula and producer attribution. Select a historical period on its ranking page to export that view.

Raw histories and displayed exports are different outputs
Raw CSVs contain the underlying source levels. A price index is not silently replaced with annual inflation, and a GDP level is not silently replaced with annualized growth. On an indicator or comparison page, choose the dates and transformation, then use “Download displayed CSV” to reproduce the table on screen.
Keep source context with your download
Missing values are empty, never zero. Geography codes and periods are text fields; retain leading zeroes when importing into spreadsheet software. National and regional acquisitions have separate IDs and data dictionaries. Known source publication dates are distinct from acquisition; daily H.15 observation dates are not invented publication timestamps.
Files are versioned and preserved. The acquired history does not establish what was known on every earlier date. Read revision coverage, source reuse conditions and data freshness before reusing a statistic. Each data article also provides a separate CSV for its original comparison table.
