National indicators and state economic coverage

The catalog covers 41 concepts in six hubs: inflation, labor, GDP and spending, interest rates, industrial production and housing. Retail and regular-state unemployment insurance claims complement the established national accounts and labor surveys. Adjusted and unadjusted variants share a canonical concept page.

Official BLS series exports extend CPI to 1947 and unemployment to 1948. Coverage depends on series inception; the all-employee earnings series begins in 2006 and JOLTS in December 2000. BEA coverage follows its worksheets, G.17 production starts in 1919, retail in 1992, claims here in 2000, and H.15 daily rates in 2017. Every indicator shows its exact coverage.

Geography is an explicit limit

National indicator pages concern the United States. A separate regional acquisition supplies all 50 states and District of Columbia: annual GDP and income through 2025, prices through 2024 and monthly labor through August 2026. Each profile preserves the original FIPS code, source table, adjustment and reference period. County, city and metro profiles remain outside this acquired dataset.

Not included on this site is different from not published by a producer. State unemployment, state accounts and county accounts may exist in supported official programs. BEA has discontinued its direct metro GDP and personal-income products with the 2024 county release. Any future metro figure derived from counties would need an explicit method and derived-status label.

Further sources require separate proof

Business formations, trade, public finance, distributional household income and household credit remain outside the reviewed catalog. Additional topics require specific producer identities, units, rights, source files and useful research questions before publication.

Policy target-range bounds, SOFR, proprietary surveys, market forecasts and household-credit detail are also outside the selected rate catalog. The effective federal funds rate is a transaction-based observation rather than the policy target midpoint.

Time and vintage coverage

Two national and two regional site versions are archived. The first national version contains known ECI and unemployment-variant identity errors; the reviewed version corrects them. An article-unit correction has a distinct export. Frozen files support reproducibility but do not provide a complete historical agency vintage collection.
